I loved that Awaken was still new & less than a year old. It was very clean & modern. Staff were very helpful especially Mila (guest relations) Breakfast had a great variety of food to choose from. The rooms were modern, clean with plenty of room. The infinity pool & view was lovely. Although some children I noticed jumped in pool & ran around too much. It was a shame the upstairs restaurant was not set up & operating yet. Overall though it was a lovely place to stay & I would highly recommend to others considering staying here.

Taxis were ok on prices but need to check before getting into one. we used a private drivers organized through the hotel but had to use google translator to communicate also used grab which is like an uber type service which had set pricing for trips. Locals are friendly and the area is awesome. We stayed at the quieter end of the beach at Le Sands Hotel which was very special (the other end of the beach was very noisy). The city is a short 5 minute taxi ride away and the markets are great for shopping. Local street food was excellent. So many things to do in Da Nang and most people only stay a few days so I think they miss a lot. We stayed 12 nights and did the following activities. Ba Na hills - which we thought was overrated, Coconut village boat, Marble Mountain, Monkey Mountain with the lady buddha, Dragon bridge on Sat & Sun nights, Hoi An is 30 minutes away so there is plenty there too.DianeUnited Kingdom
